Tarot is well known as a method of divination, or fortune-telling, and brings to mind the image of an old gypsie woman
telling people their future from an ornate caravan. It is perhaps less well known as a pictorial book, sometimes known as
the book of Thoth, which contains a profound philosophy expressed in the language of symbolism.
This website is put together as a free resource for anyone with an interest in Tarot cards either as a system of divination
or as a key to esoteric philosophy and a tool for spiritual development, but our primary focus is on bringing to light the
esoteric symbolism and teachings of the Tarot to aid in both of these goals.
There is much more to the Tarot than even most of its practitioners realise, and that is what we are trying to show here.
The Tarot cards are an integral part of the wider western esoteric tradition, and it is only by studying them within this
context that you can gain a full understanding of what the images of the Tarot cards represent.
You will find the navigation bar at the top of the page, we hope you enjoy and benefit from what you find.
